In response to the interest of the merchants’ association of the Nuestra Señora de África Market in participating with a lighting concept on parts of the facades of the market complex in the Festival of Light 2005, the following two actions are proposed at the gate of the main entrance and in the tower.
The main gate
It is intended to illuminate the arch that forms the main entrance to the market with a blue-violet light and the shield, which is located above, with a very concentrated warm light, to create a set with the tower at the end of an important pedestrian axis in Santa Cross.
Tower
It is intended to bathe the upper part of the market tower with violet light to visualize it as the final element in the pedestrian axis that forms Valentín Sanz street with the Serrador Bridge.
The main gate:
Said lighting will be carried out with four LIGHT UP WALK PROFESSIONAL projectors of the IGUZZINI trademark that are embedded in the ground below the arch of the gate, illuminating upwards. The shield will be illuminated with a MAXI WOODY model projector with a color filter from the IGUZZINI trademark installed on one of the existing columns in the square.
The tower:
It is intended to bathe the upper part of the market tower with violet light to visualize it as the final element in the pedestrian axis that forms Valentín Sanz street with the Serrador Bridge.
